Woman's tennis is just fine.
And this event is unique ... always has been,
Should Bartoli be there? Well, she is and that speaks for itself.
The Williams are bit players and do not have the dedication of the
others, at least seemingly so.
Jelena had a poor match, but also, come-on - a #3 ranked player?
Is she top 10? For sure - but #3? Don't think so.
Vadiasova is no flash in the pan.
Hingis has lost some of her intensity, and that was the difference
in so many matches in her youth.
The grass season is always short lived.
The weather has been incredible and I am sure a factor in many, many
matches.
Hard court is around the corner.
Let's see what the next two months bring.
btw - Ashley is back in world tennis for NY again. Pretty much all
of July.
