RE: [Ashley Harkleroad Star Rising] Re: The Stats

Well Bartoli came through like I expected against Krajicek even though she
trailed.
What kills me about all of this is that ...........and I'm sorry to have to
say this....
Bartoli SUCKS and I mean OUTLOUD.

She's out of shape, she has a bad attitude half the time and here she is in
a Grand Slam
Semi-Final. The only thing I can figure is that between the ears, she has
it.

She beat Jelena for Cripes Sakes. Golovin isn't even around. It looked
like women's tennis
was improving and now all the sudden it's the Williams, Sharapova and Henin.
Nobody else
matters. Yes, Yes I know Vadiasova and Ivanovic are out there and Ivanovic
may need to be
included but Vadiasova doesn't. She's going to be a splash in the pan
similar to Hantuchova
in my opinion.

Where is Sprem? Where is Mauresmo? Where is Schyneder? Ok Kuznetsova is
there but
I've always thought she was over-rated but won't be surprised if she beats
Venus at 6 AM
Eastern time. The way this draw played out.........where is Hingis? Hingis
should have come
out of that quarter if Jankovic didn't. It was an easy quarter which does
explain Bartoli a little
bit, but come on? Who's betting Bartoli to beat Hingis or Jankovic????

Clijisters is gone now. Davenport gone. Who's going to step up? I
certainly hope women's tennis
doesn't rest on the racquet of Bartoli.

By the way, I talked to Steven, yes that Steven, about 6 weeks ago and he
says Jennifer is training
to make one last run this summer sometime during the hard court season. I
would love to see it.
I hope she still has a couple of years left.

Tough to 'figure' any of this out.

There is Serena and Jusine and maybe Maria and Jelena .... then
there are 40+ players who on any given day and win against one
another.

The 'grass' is always an issue, at so claim the players,

Hard court starts in a week.
Question is does Ashley wish to give it a run?

Vania has also done well.
Year end rankings will be a blast. Places #'s 6-25 will be very
close.
