First off, please try not to be too negative towards
Cory Ann. She is a friend of mine.

Remember Ashley is still trying to get herself in
form. When you are off for as long as she has been,
you're gonna have losses to players you think she
should beat.

Also, Cory Ann may have had some extra motivation for
this match. When Cory Ann beat Ashley last year,
Ashley wasn't very gracious to Cory Ann in defeat and
this bothered her (I know because she told me). Cory
Ann can be an enigma. One match she'll look great and
look like she's finally gonna take a step forward and
then the next time out she'll get steamroled by
someone you've never heard of. But when she is fired
up about something, she usually plays reall well. If
she was thinking about last year and wanted to prove a
point, well she most likely would be on
