Well Boys and Girls

Ashley plays Samantha Reeves in the feature match Wed night.

She is going to do an interview for the website.

I drove her to the Dothan City Commission Meeting so she, Fonseca and Lucic
could all say a few words about the tournament.

She is not playing doubles.

She did play and exhibition mixed doubles match last night. She and a local
pro
played against Ann Smith and another local pro. Ashley dominated. She also
had the better local on her side as well. Smith is trying to make a come
back of sorts
at 45 years of age. She has won ten Grand Slam doubles titles. She's no
match for these
girls. Gullickson double bageled her in qualifying and she didn't make dubs
qualifying either
and I think it was just as bad.

Ashley is planning on making a come back. This is the real thing and not
just a wisp of smoke.
She said it was just hard at one point and she needed a break. She said she
is having fun
again on tour. I hope to have more on www.harkleroad.net later in the week.

She's happy to be married. She talked to Alex while we were on our way back
to the hotel.
He is playing in Houston. He qualified for the main draw there.

By the way. Ashley is in the best physical shape that I've seen her in
since she was 15.
So whomever said she was over weight and out of shape a couple or three
weeks ago must
not have seen Ashley. Also I would say she grew at least an inch since I
saw her 2003.
She's probably not growing now but she did put on a little more height in
her late teens.
A little unusual for females.
