Wenger should be kicking himself for not signing Owen , particularly
that Henry is reluctant or not willing to sign a new contract, probably
ignoring Owen was partly in order not to provoke Henry, who thinks that he is
the God of football and has to be worshiped, certainly no one can deny that he
so talented that the blind can (see ) his skills, yet that does not give him
the right to dictate the team's fate. It looks that the feeling of greatness
has also infected Wenger , and he has become a burden dictator after being
the hero saviour , as it is the case in the third world , simply for the second
season he wants to prove the point that he is the pivotal and only factor for
success and that his glory is more important than the club's and the fan's.
This season as in the last, he cost Arsenal a lot of pride and chances just to
prove that he can architect a wining side from a scratch in no time , although
it is quite right to concentrate on talented
youngsters , but it should have been done several years before, to keep up the
momentum of winning and to have adequate replacements for the retiring or
leaving players in time of need , yet despite this correct trend he still made
some bizarre decision in the transfers like signing the reserve goal keeper of
Sunderland , as if Arsenal reached that low, while they could have brought any
star player just by pointing to him, and as Pirez , Campbell , Brgkamp or even
Lujnberg in a season or two will either leave or retire , Wenger depleted
the squad from the talented home grown youngsters , most of them English ,
while bringing in a seventeen years old Italian keeper or a nineteen years old
defender from his native France , in a time where the Gunners are facing a
serious and urgent crises in defence and goal keeping as well as in attack
where most of the goals in the league so far has been scored by defenders, and
ironically enough, as Arsenal are in decline the
unwanted Bentley is sparkling with Blackburn so as Pennant and Upson with
Birmingham , on the other hand Wenger kept Edu for long time on the bench
until he got frustrated till the end of his contract and then let him go for
free , and the same will apply to Perez , while selling Viera for half the
amount offered a season ago , but the most Bizarre and arrogant decision is
to keep Cygan in the first team despite that every time he plays , he becomes
the twelfth player for the opponent, so to play ten men minus Cygan is much
more safer than eleven with him, for he is as good as a punctured condom , kerb
pleasure, yet, permit infection !.
Frankly I am wishing France national team and Real Madrid all the
worst so that they may approach Wenger , for this the only way we can get rid of
him ; simply I say to all admirers of him , as he was given him all the credit
and the praise for the past achievement , he should be equally blamed for the
slump of the Gunners . What is really astonishing , is how could Wenger
convinced himself or the directors , that he can win trophies , particularly
in Europe, with a team like his , any way by the time the next transfer
window open , it will be too late for Arsenal to salvage any thing , except may
be the F.A cup , yet Wenger or whoever in his place then , should be serious
and faithful enough in the transfer market to prepare the side for the next
season , at least they need a distinguished goal keeper , central defender , and
one or two strikers , while the Gunners only remaining goal, till the end of
the season, is to reduce humiliation . Finally I sincerely
hope that I am wrong .
