Hello My Gooners,
Once again we saw on Tuesday night how Arsenal can win matches even
when they are not playing well. Some may take the victory positively
while others are more likely to take it negatively. Can't blame
them, we are use to seeing the Invincible thrash teams firing three
to four goals every match. Sadly, we have to look at reality and
wonder why Arsenal couldn't play well at home against a team they
rummaged four-nothing last time they met in the Champions League. I
don't think PSV a any better than Newcastle and we seem to do well
against every other team in the Premiership.
I think they seriously need to get over this European stage fright.
And I think Arsenal's best shape would be to play Reyes, Vieira,
Fabregas and Ljungberg in the middle, with Bergkamp and Henry
playing forward. The defense is okay, but I don't Cygan has it in
him, Upson was so much better. As for Lauren, can't blame him for
poor defensive quality, he is naturally a midfielder after all...but
then again his crosses need a lot of work, but he is too old to
develop that skill.
Arsenal are up there with the top European teams but they look
different when they play in Europe. Really hope times change this
time around. The one trophy that eludes us has to be ours this time
around.
Wasim.
