Speaking of Dave Fisher. I haven't met Dave yet but I
was racing down here in Sydney last week in the
Wednesday night dirt crit series put on by the
Turramurra Club. At the sign on as the sole
representative of the NEMTB in Sydney I got asked all
about the club, apparently one of the guys organising
the race grew up with Dave's younger brother and was
wondering how he was riding. I told him I had heard he
was killing em in the weekly XC races! He said that
did't surprise him, 'he alwasy was a pretty fit
bastard' was his exact words.
Sorry I did't get his name but anyways the word is
spreading that we have a club and we are up for
riding, tis a pity I can't get back to the good'ol
'dale for riding more often.
Anyway, as I write this I am in Melb preparing for the
Nationals this weekend, will be interesting to see how
it goes, our flegling club has four riders competing.
Dave Rugendyke in DH (injured but riding), Johny Utah
in DH (also injured but riding after last weekend at
Mt Buller), Sally Bristow in 4X and myself in both 4X
and DH. Will be an interesting weekend and updates to
come after the weekend on the latest injury toll!.
