Dear All,
The mountaineering club is planning a number of social mountain bike
rides this year - on both local tracks and to various national parks.
The first of these is set for Sunday 27th Feb - everyone is welcome, put
it in your diary !!
This will be to a favourite local track - the telstra track out near
Invergowrie. Meeting time and place is 9.30am at the Invergowrie store.
This track is great for both beginners and more advanced riders - it has
lots of fun little jumps (which you can either roll over or get some air
off) and the turn-around point is the scenic Booralong creek. Usually
takes a few hours, so I might try to organise a BBQ lunch somewhere
afterwards. Let me know if you need a lift out.
Also planned over the next few months is a 'beginners skills day' at the
pine-forest with Rob (who will demonstrate that it is in-fact possible
to ride the very technical track he put in), and a weekend riding trip
to Bellingen / Coffs. More details at a later date.
Hoping to see lots of you on the telstra track ride - ArmidaleMTB people
as well.
Cheers,
Karen.
