Just a quick race report about the race at Coffs on
the weekend .Steve and myself ventured down to coast
for the Coffs marathon on Saturday which doubled also
as the the Australian marathon championships which
consisted of 100k full course or 50 half course. Steve
tackled the half marathon in which he did extremely
well finishing20th out of feild of 35 after breaking
his chain half way around.I on the other hand stupidly
took on the 100k which was a great deal of fun ,but
also one of the hardest rides I think Ive done ,with
spectaculy big climbs that you could not ride up on a
motor bike,so it was a slow slog on foot to the top of
a few hills .so after over five and half hours of
riding I crept over the line in 8th spot in the 30to39
class.I highly reconmend this race for next year ,its
a challenge but great fun.
