WHAT
The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour is bringing the ultimate sports and
entertainment experience to Tempe, AZ for the 2006 Tempe Open, May 5-7.

More than 150 of the top professional beach volleyball athletes will compete
including 2004 Olympic gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.
May-Treanor / Walsh will be the top seed followed by Elaine Youngs / Rachel
Wacholder, Jenny Johnson-Jordan / Annett Davis and Makare Wilson / Tyra Turner,
respectively. Two-time indoor Olympian Logan Tom will make her AVP Debut in
Tempe. Tom will play with former US National Team member Brittany Hochevar.

The mens competition brings some fierce competition, including three-time
Olympic gold medal winner Karch Kiraly, and 2000 Olympic gold medalists Dain
Blanton and Eric Fonoimoana.
Mike Lambert and Stein Metzger will enter as the top seed followed by Ft.
Lauderdale Champions' Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal. Sean Scott / Dax Holdren,
Todd Rogers / Phil Dalhausser and Matt Fuerbringer / Casey Jennings round out
the top five seeds respectively.
The men will see the return of 2005 NCAA MVP Sean Rooney, who will be partnering
with Nick Lucena.

Tickets are affordably priced and start at $15 for General Admission
seating.

Admission is free for the Friday, May 5th Qualifier.
