The Southwest Professional Volleyball Association www.swpva.com is a
group effort between The City of Las Vegas, Department of Leisure
Services – Sports/Volleyball Division AVPNext organization www.ci.las-
vegas.nv.us and VolleyballArizona Organization
www.volleyballarizona.org. To kick off the 2004 volleyball season the
SWPVA will be putting on a series of 4 events in Phoenix and Las
Vegas. This is a great way to enjoy some great southwest spring
weather, tune up for the 2004 AVP season, earn cash prizes and gain
points towards the 2004 AVP Tempe Open Qualifer and 2004 U.S. Amateur
Championships in Santa Barbara.

The Series will feature 4 events with stops in Phoenix and Las Vegas
- Event #1 – February 28/29, 2004 – Phoenix, Arizona
- Event #2 – March 6/7, 2004 – Las Vegas, Nevada
- Event #3 - March 20/21, 2004 – Phoenix, Arizona
- Event #4 – April 10/11, 2004 – Las Vegas, Nevada

All events will be Double Elimination Brackets with play by AVP/FIVB
Rules with both Men's and Women's Divisions. There will be a limit to
number of teams in both division, and you must pre-register. There
will be cash prizes for the top teams in all 4 events, plus the
AVPNext Points.

The first event on February 28th and 29th will be at Victory Lane
Sports Complex (22603 N. 43rd Avenue, Glendale, AZ). Not only will
this event feature some great volleyball, but there will also be a
player's party after the event on Saturday with live music, a BBQ,
drinks specials and more.
