CAP III Seminar on Drills and Development
Come join the USA Volleyball Coaching Education Department for the annual
USA CAP Level III & National Seminar on Drills and Development, March 6-9.
Even if you do not have your Level II CAP certification, the National
Seminar on Drills and Development is open to ALL coaches, giving you a
unique chance to share your best ideas, drills and games with your fellow
coaches in the unique setting of the United States Olympic Training Center
(OTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo. You need not be CAP certified to attend.
Room and board for the first 36 coaches will be provided as part of the
course costs. Pick up from the airport and return via the OTC shuttle system
is also included.
Come dressed & prepared to play.
Bring your favorite ideas to be improved learn countless new ones with
coaches from all over the USA.
What: CAP III Seminar on Drills and Development: Drill Design & Development
for Mental/Physical/Skill/Team Systems
When: March 6-9, 2003 (Check-in at 5:00 pm, March 6th; check out at 1:00 pm,
March 9th)
Where: U.S. Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, Colo.
How: Daily sessions on the court & in the classroom to share every coach's
favorite drill and to enhance them with the group's efforts. Drills for
youth to top players will be shared, studied, demonstrated, enhanced and
recorded.
Who: CAP II certified coaches, returning CAP III coaches, and any coach
wishing to attend the National Seminar. CAP II coaches seeking to attain
Level III status will need to bring a Draft Outreach Project (find out more

Why: To discuss the latest mental, physical and skill training ideas, and
create games, training examples and drills to use in coaching volleyball.
The final product will be the "key" and "best" material for each level of
experience, in video and written form.
This is your chance to walk away with more drills than you ever might be
able to use and to work with the USA and USOC Coaching Education departments
including John Kessel, USA Volleyball director of coaching education, and
Diana Cole, his assistant. You'll also get to see both USA Volleyball
National Teams in training and hear ideas from their coaching staffs.
