Please sign, don't need to the watch video if it's just too painful but we have to try and stop this brutality. It's about animal rights. But if you must watch there is a link below.
I explain the process below: With a hidden camera, animals were filmed being SKINNED ALIVE!!! They say it's done to get a more perfect ''cut''.afterwards the carcasses are tossed into a pile, still alive, and for up to 10 minutes you can see their hearts still beating, in agony, their eyes still blinking, and the puppies little paws still shaking. There was one pup, that still lifted his head and gazed at the camera with bloodied eyes . Marin is my 9
year old, 5.2 hand American Paint Horse. He has successfully gone novice
(second place at Ram Tap last year) and schooled at training. He is a very
gifted, easy fellow, and easy keeper all around. Willing, smart, and patient.
Lovely gaits and he jumps really nicely.
He trains at my
barn, Kismet Farms, in Martinez.
Leaser would need to train with Tracy Bowman, the trainer there. A fun, easy
going barn! Leaser pays one half board and all other upkeep (shoes, vet bills,
grain, blanketing, etc.) for three days of riding each week. I am looking for a
reliable fellow adult amateur who would enjoy this special horse. He can take
you to training and we are hopeful he will get to prelim one day. Great for
someone riding at beginner novice or novice. Not for someone just starting to
ride. You can compete and school x-c country on him if you want.
I have attached
photos. If yahoo doesn’t translate them, contact me at lnipps@...
to take a look. Or call me at 925-914-1212. Marin is awesome!
Please share
this email around to those you think might be interested. Thank you!!
Is anyone going to the May 9th Camelot Equestrian Park who is coming from the
Vacaville area that I could hitch a ride with for my horse? He's a little guy,
14.3, no special needs, trailers perfectly. Of course am willing to pay for gas.
I'd like to go up on Friday and school, then stay overnight, but it isn't a
requirement. :)
Thanks!

Hi Everyone,
We are looking for an immediate home for a very sweet, 7yr old Thoroughbred
mare, 15.2hh. Great with kids, has a rotated coffin bone that doesn't seem to
give her trouble. The vet okayed her for light riding, trail riding. Very
personable mare, sweet and gentle. To a non-racing home only. Please pass this
email along in hopes that it might find someone able to give her a home. She is
free to a good home. Contact Ali @ 408.313.1965 or canterca@....
Thanks,
Ali

I might be interested in 2 of the 3 rail 24 foot gate panels. How does it work if we want them? I forwarded your message to my mom whose land we have some pipe corals on to verify she is interested in them.
I have moved out of state with my fiance, who is an Air Force officer. We left our house in Rosamond in the high desert, right outside of Edwards Air Force Base, and we also left several pipe corral panels, here is what I have, please spread the word:
Quantity / Description
23 / 24-foot 2-rail panels = $85 each or all of them for $1650 1 / 24-foot 2-rail gate panel = $120 (These all together make a 130' x 178' arena. I used it for jumping and turnouts, they are 4' tall. You can buy the whole arena for $1700)
4 / Shelters 8'x12' = $200 each or all of them for $650 8 / 24-foot 3-rail panels = $110 each or all of them for $750 4 / 24-foot 3-rail gate panels = $155 each or all of them for $600 (You would only need one additional 24-foot panel to make 4 complete 24'x24' corrals with shelters).
1 harrow/arena drag to attach to a pick-up or atv. = $50
Everything is assembled, so you would be responsible for dismantling and moving them. You can have everything for $3600, including some blue water barrels. Everything is only a year old, not rusty or bent. I bought it all brand new. Compare prices, these are a steal! Please forward to any horse people/organizations you know that may be interested. E-mail me or call me at 661-754-3391.

"VETERINARY SERVICES TAX"
The Governor is listening! We need you to take action again and register your "opposition"... It's simple and effective.
Call the Governor's office at 916-445-2841.
Select your language choice.
Press "5" to leave your opinion on a current issue.
Press "1" to select the issue of extending the sales tax to veterinary services.
Press "2" to "oppose" the Veterinary Services Tax proposal.
January 15, 2009 Budget Update:
Yesterday, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger presented his 2009-2010 "State of the State" address to the California State Legislature. This speech came on the heels of the release, on December 31, 2008, of his 2009-10 State Budget proposal which continued to include a proposal to tax veterinary services.
The Governor has expressed great frustration that, despite the fact that he has called several sequential "special sessions" of the legislature, a compromise has not been reached by Democrats and Republicans. In the last two weeks, there appears to be some movement with the negotiations. However, due to the sensitive nature of the discussions, and in an attempt to prevent outside forces from impacting the discussions, the "Big 5" (Senate & Assembly leaders) has been relatively silent with regard to the specifics of the issues currently on the table.
With little information leaking out of these confidential "Big 5" meetings regarding the Governor's tax proposals, we must assume that the veterinary tax remains "on the table" for discussion. Therefore, we are requesting that CVMA members continue to express their opposition to the Governor's proposal to tax veterinary services by calling the Governor and your local legislator today.
Updates will continue to be posted at www.cvma.net. If you have any questions, call the CVMA office at 1.800.655.2862.
Here's the 2009 calendar for Eventful Acres, Rod and
Karen's place outside of Marysville. There are still spots available in
the clinics, and the horse trials entries are available, too.
Great place if you haven't been there. Lovely, green, oak-studded
park with pens, camping, showers, good meals there or nearby.
Well-designed cross country jumps are built and placed to increase
horses' and riders' confidence.
The annual meeting is being organized by
Andres Pfeiffer this year and she is handling the Saturday schedule. Sunday
for the Adult riders Vicky and I are doing a dressage and jumping clinic that
is separate from the annual meeting stuff. If it is Saturday that you are
interested in then please contact Andrea.
I hope this helps and I look forward to
seeing you at Ram Tap this weekend for a great day of activities,
Dayna

and
I hope all is well in California! I am now living in Oklahoma with my fiance Steve, who is in Air Force pilot training here. I'm still riding, but it's just about all Paints and Quarter Horses out here. I had to buy a wide tree jumping saddle! I just wanted to let you all know that I still have my website up and running and sometimes it's fun to take a look at. Also, if you haven't finished your Holiday shopping, I added some links to buy horsey magazine subscriptions or a subscription for dressage training videos online. There is also a link to Jeffers Equine. I'll be adding the link for State Line Tack soon. Check it out, sign our guestbook and let me know if you have any suggestions to make the website better.
