2006 Season   Message List

Hi guys,

I hope everybody is having a great holiday season. It's now time to
start planning for 2006. As usual, there are some changes coming.

The TriValley league is dropping the age limit on each of
the divisions to align with a similar drop at the MSBL national
level. There will be three divisions: 25+, 35+, and 45+.
That will make the 45+ even tougher than it was last year.

They are also planning to put together a new 55+ division in 2007.

The schedule and format are supposed to be like last year. They
will start in late April, do alternating weeks of single games and
doubleheaders, and finish before Labor Day. Then do playoffs in
September. About 21 regular season games on 14 weekends. We won't
get the complete schedule until some time in April probably.

We will also have an Antiques team in the Norcal League. That team
will play about 10 or 12 dates between March 5 and mid August. I
hope we can recruit a bunch of young guys in the 35+ range to make
that team more competitive in Norcal.

So, please let me know your plans for 2006. Some of you will want
to play all (or at least most) of the TV games. Some of you will want
to play a part time schedule. Some of you will prefer playing on
the Norcal side. We need to get a good idea of who is returning
and at what level of commitment to see how hard we should be recruiting
for 45+ guys.

Also, Gus is planning to send out a questionnaire asking you for
ideas about what you thought about last year and what you'd like to
see for the coming year.

I hope to hear from all of you so we can plan the coming season.

-Denny
