I will not say you have made "insolent attempts at comebacks" because
that makes absolutely no sense. You either do not know the definition
of "insolence" or the definition of "comebacks". Or perhaps you do
not know the definition of both. You see, comebacks are meant to be
insolent. I will however say that you have made *lame* attempts at
comebacks. Or I will say you have made insolent attempts at comebacks
*and* failed miserably.
