The Rochester Americans lost their fifth game of the season last night in Hamilton as the Bulldogs took an early lead and eventually the game by a score of 5-1. Jani Rita put the 'Dogs up first with a goal at 6:44 of the first period, assisted by Jason Ward and Benoit Gratton. The score became 2-0 when Tomas Plekanec notched his first of the season, assisted by Jozef Balej and Tony Salmelainen. Rochester's Norm Milley notched his first as a 2002 Amerk at 4:42 of the 2nd period, assisted by Francois Methot to provide Rochester's lone goal of the game. Hamilton answered with three goals in the final period, two on power-plays, to finish off Rochester. Jarrett Stoll scored at 15:20 for his third goal on the year, followed by a man-advantage score by Jani Rita @ 18:53, assisted by Benoit Gratton and Mike Komisarek. Another goal with less than 30 ticks remaining sealed the win as Tomas Plekanec notched his 2nd score of the game and the season. Tony Salmelainen and Marcel Hossa assisted.
