The Hamilton Bulldogs took a bite out of the Amerks yesterday evening as they
rolled to a 3-1 victory. Rochester's only goal of the game was scored by
Christian Matte, his 5th of the season. Chris Taylor and Doug Houda earned
assists on the score. Hamilton returned to the second period by scoring two
goals and notching an insurance marker in the third to take the game. The
power-play short-circuited as the Amerks' special teams went 0 for 8 with the
man advantage. Tom Askey stopped 23 of 26 shots on goal in the game. Rochester
is currently 6-10-4 (17pts) on the season, and are in the midst of a road trip
that continues tonight in Norfolk, Va. against the Admirals.
On the injury front, Andrew Peters returned to the lineup after missing three
games with a shoulder injury. Mario Larocque and Mike Hurlbut did not accompany
the team to Norfolk, Larocque due to a strained lower back and Hurlbut because
of a strained groin muscle.
Stay tuned for more Amerks news...hopefully good!
