Rochester Americans right winger Jarolav Kristek, a rookie with the team this
season, will undergo season-ending surgery to correct "looseness" in both of his
shoulders. He was injured in a January 13th game against the Hamilton Bulldogs
when Scott Ferguson ran him down, then fell on top of him. Kristek has a
history of shoulder injuries over the past two seasons and the problems will not
correct itself, say doctors. In 35 games, Kristek accumulated 5 goals and 3
assists for 8 points.
