Hey there, Amerks fans! Well, my email yesterday generated a pretty good
response, with all three letters voting against a change in the Amerks logo.
As for the question regarding the Amerks shield being the logo since 1956, I
will have to look into that simply because that was WAY before my time!
However, as far as I can remember, the shield has always been the signature
of the Amerks and I don't believe the front office would change that (unless
they're nuts)!
I might as well put my two cents in on the jerseys while I'm at it. I
enjoy the shield and the colors (white and blue jersey bases) are
great...although I think a slight change in the design (i.e. color designs
similar to the new jerseys worn by Syracuse, the Mighty Ducks of NHL, etc)
would also give a boost to the team. What do you all think about that?
