Amerks Post-Game Report: Rochester 6, Louisville Panthers 3
The Rochester Americans traveled to Louisville, Kentucky yesterday to
compete against the expansion Panthers. Roster moves before the game added
defenseman Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre and goaltender Dieter Kochan to the
Rochester lineup as replacements for netminder Martin Biron and defenseman
Brian Campbell.
Mika Noronen made his second AHL start and recorded his second victory of
the season, stopping 21 of 24 Panther shots on goal in the game. Rochester
opened the scoring :24 into the first period as Jason Cipolla recorded his
second goal of the '99-'00 season. Maxim Afinogenov and Randy Cunneyworth
earned assists on the score. Chris Taylor boosted the lead to 2-0 less than
a minute, recording his third of the season at 1:13, assisted by Craig
Fisher. Dwayne Hay put the Panthers on the scoreboard at 6:10 of the same
period with an unassisted goal. Craig Fisher returned the favor by burning
Louisville netminder Ryan Bach on the power play with :58 remaining in the
period, assisted by Dimitri Kalinin.
The Panthers added a power-play score at 5:45 of the second period as Dan
Boyle and Craig Ferguson assisted Eric Boguniecki on the goal. Randy
Cunneyworth restored a two-goal lead at 7:52 with an unassisted goal, his
second score of the season. Jeremy Adduono recorded his third of the season
at 11:37 with help from Dane Jackson and Maxim Afinogenov. The Panther's
Dave Duerden ended scoring in the middle period at 11:49 with help from
Curtis Doell and Joey Tetarenko.
Rochester's Denis Hamel recorded the final goal of the game at 19:59 of
the final period with an empty-netter on the power-play for his eighth goal
of the season. Rochester put 23 (9-7-7) shots on goal in the game.

Amerk's Post Game Report: Rochester 6, Hartford Wolf Pack 5 (OT) (10/16/99)
Rochester traveled to Hartford, Connecticut to take on the farm team of
the NY Rangers and faced probably their biggest scare of the season to
date...they faced a rally which forced overtime, resulting in yet another
Rochester victory. Brad Smyth scored his sixth goal of the season for
Hartford on the power-play at :56 of the opening period, assisted by Derek
Armstrong and Alexandre Daigle. Craig Fisher's fifth of the season at 10:29
tied the score for Rochester. Assisting on the power-play goal were Brian
Campbell and Mike Hurlbut. Alexandre Daigle scored his second of the season
at 11:43 to regain the Hartford lead. P.J. Stock and Alexei Vasiliev
assisted on the score. Craig Fisher's second of the game tied the score
again at 13:56, once again on the power-play. Assisting on Fisher' sixth of
the season were Brian Campbell and Doug Houda. Alexandre Daigle regained the
Wolf Pack goal once more with his third of the season at 19:59 of the opening
period, assisted by Ken Gernander and P.J. Stock.
Rochester tied the game once again at 3:03 of the second period. Jeremy
Adduono scored his second of the season with help from Dane Jackson.
Hartford added their only goal of the period at 11:59 as Dale Purinton scored
his first of the season, assisted by Francois Fortier and Chris Kenady.
Francois Methot's third of the year came at 16:07 by way of Maxim Afinogenov.
Denis Hamel scored his seventh in as many games with help from Chris Taylor
and Dane Jackson with :01 remaining in the period.
Hartford's Francois Fortier's goal at 6:07 of the third period forced
overtime, where Jason Cipolla earned his first goal of the season in a big
way, scoring the sudden-death goal at 3:53 of the overtime period, assisted
by Maxim Afinogenov and Doug Houda. Martin Biron stopped 34 of 39 shots on
goal while the Rochester offense put 36 (14-13-6-3) shots on goal in the game.
Rochester is in Ohio tomorrow (Saturday) to face the Cincinnati Mighty
