The Buffalo Sabres signed Jay McKee this past Saturday, therefore forcing the
team to make a roster move to stay within the specified limits. The move
sent defenseman Cory Sarich, touted as a rapidly rising defensive prospect,
back to the Rochester Americans. Sarich was a member of the American Hockey
League's all-rookie team last season and made appearances with the parent
Sabres as well. Sarich's return to the Rochester blueline will only enhance
the league's top defense of last season and one which has allowed only three
goals in as many games this season. Look for more updates to come here at
