Hello everyone - FYI - It used to be very easy for the APA sectary to
make changes to the APA site - But when the APA administration
redesigned the site a few years back, they made it so a web tech had to
make the changes - I don't know what the hold up is - but because
another person has been added to the process it will take longer to get
changes made.

Those of you who would like to announce a tournament for 2008, please send them to Laura Humphreys humphreys@... so that we can make sure that they are posted as soon as possible. There seems to be a glitch that we need to work out on our website and we will be doing that immediately.
Thanks,

Just sending off info about my daughter's horse for sale. I am so sad that
we are selling him. I am almost 5'10" and he takes up all of my leg--he has quite the nice barrel to him...not stocky...looks like a small warmblood. His movement is lovely and he is very easy to engage. Thanks for thinking of him if you hear of anyone needing a horse for sale. Price negotiable to the right PC or APA family.
All around horse for sale. Ritz is just GREAT! He has done BN eventing (30s in dressage),foxhunted 1st field and 2nd field-sane and bold, plays polocrosse (B grade in APA), pony clubs with a 10 year old D3, you name it-He does it! Trained by an A pony club member. Will to go through Novice in Eventing. Doing 2'9"-3' courses. Very CUTE! Bold jumper both Stadium & XC (water, banks, ditches). Easy dressage: steady light frame, nice lateral work. Goes comfortably at BN/N pace on XC. Enjoyable ride, Fun!! Small D3 PCer
owns him, but not ready to move off her pony. WONDERFUL HORSE! Sadly must sell. No vices. Mustang, 15 hands, 10 years old,100% sound, UTD on everything. Good home a must! Pics available. 8k Contact Dori Wiseman at glennwoodponies@aol.com or call 301 346 7418

Well, DMR (formerly known as Purgatory, north of Durango reported 10 new inches as of this morning and it's snowed all day), Wolf Creek had 14" and Telluride 6, so it's finally happening. Not sure what their bases are at this point, but they've been getting some great snow. WHITE CHRISTMAS, WOO HOO!!!

Hi All
I hate to clog everyone's in-box with my holiday plans, but I just finalized my
tickets for a
trip to Australia from December 26th- January 14th. I've looked on-line and it
seems like
a bad time to want to check out the polocrosse scene (first with the equine
influenza, and
second the season hasn't started yet except in Tazmania), but I was wondering if
anyone
had any suggestions for polocrosse people I could contact in the NSW area. I'd
love to
check out a practice there, or see some stock horse studs, or whatever people
want to
recommend. I'm visiting family there, so I have some plans already, but I'd
love to hear
suggestions for the rest of the time.
To avoid clogging people's inboxes PLEASE reply to me at vlprince@...
Thanks so much all- have a great Christmas and New Year- wish I could be in
Texas for
the play-day/Presidential tournie, but it would be any even longer trip than
usual if I was
coming from Sydney!
Oh- and my family is in Pymble (2073 NSW)- so I'd really be interested in
anything near
there!

Popcorn is a 14h. Palomino Appaloosa-mare from Texas. She was originally Polocrosse Trainer Paul Johnson's pony. He sold her to us because his wife told him he was too big for her. lol . We bought her sight unseen knowing that she was trained by the best! She has a one of a kind brand on her shoulder for the Texas Lone Star Polocrosse Club founded by Paul Johnson's...pretty cool! If you ask Jessie Reed... she will tell you that Popcorn is a Polocrosse Legend in Texas and in Pa.! Popcorn has had the year off and is ready to get back into shape for
Polocrosse this Spring. We are asking $3,500. which is exactly what we paid to get her. What an awesome Christmas gift for any polocrosse player!
This google video is of Popcorn, 2 years ago, with 30 days training on her... she can do it again.
And in the last picture is my Polocrosse horse on the left a Tennessee Walker, great for trails, neck reins and direct rein Buckskin mare approx.16yr , barefoot , excellent to work around and under, lol. Perfect for anyone. Asking $1200.
Let us know if you or anyone you know is interested.
Yes -- Texans too!!! Its beautiful there and they are getting lot of snow.

Hey all you Coloradoans- The Hutcherson family will be in Telluride skiing from the 22nd of Dec. to the 29th. If you guys are in the area and want to hook up give me a call.
Everyone, thankyou for your patience. The re-drafting took longer than anticipated..
Dear Fellow Polocrosse Enthusiasts,
This is our second broadcast about the Masters tournament, and we believe over the last two months we have dealt with allpotential obstacles that may arise. The major areas are addressed in this newsletter while the relevant attachments contain the detail.
The Masters will be a division of the Goodtimes Polocrosse Club’s annual tournament. It will be a lot of fun for all of you and a time for you to enjoy the games and catch up with your friends. The club not only wants you to enjoy your stay in Florida, but also wants to continue this tournament as an annual event.
.
The tournament will be run under APA rules and regulations which are posted on the association website (www.americanpolocrose.org), and we would appreciate if all foreign players would read these rules in advance. This division will not be run under formal international test rules and it’s accompanying horse pools rules etc.,The tournament has a tournament committee and a non-playing tournament umpire who is nominated by the APA Umpire Panel. While games will be refereed by two field umpires, any arbitration that may be required will be addressed by the tournament committee and the tournament umpire.
Format:
We have had such a wonderful response and expression of interest that we have had to revamp the format from a sectional to a team play off.If everyone enters that has shown interest we will have an eight team (including five internationals)A level bracket in addition to the lower levels in this division.
Masters can choose to enter as a team in the Masters A division, or as a section in any other division of the tournament.Incomplete team entries will be completed by an experienced Senior player, who is not playing in the Master’s A division.
With this entry number, we have exceeded our ability to mount friends and have proceeded with a horse hire programme.Horses will be hired from the Villages polo communityand from US polocrosse players. The polo horses were played at the 2006 Goodtimes tournament and favourableplayer comment was received. These horses will be fit and currently playing in 6-8 goal leagues. US polocrosse players have been asked to provide additional fit playable mounts at the same hire cost ($500 for A and $400 for other)such that the entry fee in this division will be the same across all players. These horses will be available on a first come first served basis. Those players not requiring to hire a mount will not pay the hire fee. Additionally those players bringing extra playing horses will receive a check of $500 (or $400) at the end of the tournament.
While polocrosse horses will be stabled at the grounds with their owners, polo horses and grooms will be delivered the day of play. Riders will be asked to provide after game care and cool out, and umpires will be vigilant about dangerous riding calls, and whip and spur use.Practice chukkers have been scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday prior to the tournament (see itinerary). All hired horses will be available for tack fitting, player allocation and practice on Friday. We have appointed a Horse Manager – a “Go To” person – for this division who will help with all matters equine.
The US polocrosse community has been asked to lend additional tack, saddle pads, bell boots and wraps, and equipment to this event so that it can be a player’s choice as to whether he brings his saddle to the tournament. All horses will be ridden in either the owner’s bridle, or a gag and German martingale (if necessary) and leg protection (bell boots and leg wraps/sports medicine boots).
Players will need to provide team jerseys, reins and personal equipment (whip, spurs, helmet, knee guards etc).
The tournament drawwill be available at registration Friday evening. All games will be 4 x 8 minute chukkers.
Accomodation.
As previously stated, the club can accommodate 12-18 players on a first come first served basis. A list of motels and costs has been attached.
Payment.
Payment can be made either by check or via the internet. To repeat, international players have a 30 day grace period of play before being required to join the APA, so membership fees will NOT apply for international guests.
To avoid penalties, the entry fee must be received by January 1st, and the horse hire fee must be received by February 1st .
As the majority of the mounts will be sourced from outside the polocrosse community, we do not have any flexibility with the due date for horse hire – horses will not be sourced for players who are not paid up..
The Goodtimes Polocrosse club will email a receipt as soon as payment has been received.
Attachments to this broadcast.

I hadn't even put a winter blanket on Rosa and w/in 48 min. Guy had Rosa walk and trot w/a halter. Guy tied a tarp on her tail and had her standing w/him and his bull whip and in a relaxed state of mind. Rosa bucked better than any bronc when he saddled her but w/in minutes he had her trusting him and he was on her back. Guy also rode about 6 horses on Sat. and made all of them look amazing. Simon was very impressing as well. Look for Guy in the future at shows and you can buy his cd's on line I believe. By far best horseman I have ever seen!!!!!!! Renee

In an attempt to unleash the fund raising potential for the Presidential Scholarship Fund, we will be combining the tournament that was supposed to take place this weekend at The Horse Lot in New Waverly, TX with the New Year's Eve tournament with that of Hill Country Polocrosse Club in Cypress Mill, TX. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing everyone on the field soon!
