MUAY THAI WORLD SUPER WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION, BAXTER HUMBY

-- LIVING LIFE BEYOND LIMITS --

Los Angeles, CA - You can't miss Baxter Humby. He is very well spoken and
has presence.

In the ring, he is an athlete of incredible strength, speed and flexibility.
Don't blink, you may just miss the kick that landed his opponent on the
floor in a knock out.

In the MuayThai world, he is known as the one-arm bandit because he has no
right hand. It was amputated at birth, just below his elbow, after becoming
entangled with the umbilical cord.

Gliding across the ring, Baxter dominates his opponents and remains
aggressive and powerful from round one through to the last round.

When asked how he developed the attitude that has taken him to the top as
World Super Welterweight Champion holding a number of different title belts
including IKKC USA Kickboxing Champion, IMTC World Middleweight Champion and
IKBA International Kickboxing Champion. He credits his father for giving
him the confidence to be better than average. His father never failed to
tell others, "Keep an eye on my son, he's going to make it. He's going to
be a somebody". His father has passed away, but his family support remains
strong. Baxter is engaged to be married. He was told that this
announcement will break a lot of hearts but he says that he has a wonderful
girl and although he lives a life where MuayThai is central, his family
remains his number one priority.

So, what is MuayThai? This prestigious national sport of Thailand with a
history dating back to 1560 A.D. has an international fan base that span
across the world. MuayThai literally means Thai Boxing and is known as The
Art of the Eight Limbs. This style of boxing incorporates the use of
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elbow_%28strike%29> elbows, and
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knee_%28strike%29> knees and allows the
fighter to execute strikes using eight points of contact.

Baxter worked hard to earn his title at the very top of the MuayThai sport.
He was born in Canada. His interest in sports led him to take up running at
age 11 and martial arts at 17. He ran for the Canadian National Track Team
in <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barcelona> Barcelona in
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992> 1992 and in
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin> Berlin in
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994> 1994. Baxter initially trained in Tae
Kwon Do and as a result, his fight style incorporates a lot of this initial
training. Baxter is legendary for his kicks.

Baxter will be defending his title against Jiangtao Dong (China) in the
International 'Champion of Champions' MuayThai fight night which will be
held June 20, 2008 starting 9pm local time in Jamaica. Hailed as the
greatest fight card in MuayThai history, this non-stop action pact event
will be available LIVE on pay per view on www.istreamyoustream.com
<http://www.istreamyoustream.com/> for an advance purchase price of $14.95.
There will be 9 World Title Fights at stake. 9 Countries participating, all
on one night. Proceeds from this history making event will be used to
provide computers and establish technology learning centers in the primary
schools in Jamaica through CCGI Foundation. CCGI's mission is to eventually
equip all the primary schools in Jamaica with computers.

Baxter is ready for this World Title Championship Fight. He warns his
opponent to be ready, because he will be.

When asked what words of wisdom he wants to impart, he doesn't hesitate to
share the words that he lives by, "The only limits you have are the ones you
put on yourself".

Here's a little trivia, do you know who delivered the punch through the
Sandman's chest in Spider-man 3? Yes, standing in for Tobey Maguire, the
punch that took out the Sandman was delivered by Baxter Humby.

He will be one of 18 professional Muay Thai fighters, representing 9
countries including USA, Thailand, UK, France, Canada, Australia, Japan,
Holland, and China, through a grueling full rules battle to win a title.
According to the buzz already generated, the fight card is possibly "the
greatest fight card in 15 years outside of Thailand". The fight will be
streamed live via online pay per view on www.istreamyoustream.com
<http://www.istreamyoustream.com/> .

TITLE AT THE MUAY THAI CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS FIGHT NIGHT IN JAMAICA

Los Angeles, CA - May 22, 2008. 200 Million Viewers world-wide recently
tuned in to witness the #1 Muay Thai fighter Yodsaenklai Fairtex take the
title on The Contender Asia, Muay Thai's first reality-based television
series on AXN Asia. Facing off against the legendary John Wayne Parr from
Australia, who is also on the Jamaica Fight Card, Yodsaenklai had the crowd
in the arena and at home whipped to a frenzy as he dominated the match using
his renowned roundhouse kicks, precise timing, and accurate boxing. This

Muay Thai Boxing, The Art of the Eight Limbs is the Thai name for a form of
hard martial arts practiced in several
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southeast_Asia> Southeast Asian countries, and
is the national sport of Thailand. Since the 1990s, Muay Thai has quickly
become a global phenom and has been featured in numerous films and
television programs. Featuring graceful and aesthetic rituals, the sport
also utilizes punching, kicking, clinching and elbow techniques that are not
allowed in western boxing matches. It is not uncommon to see a knock-out
during a Muay Thai fight.

Yodsaenklai Fairtex is the current World Muay Thai Super
Welterweight Champion and the winner of the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium
title in Thailand. He will be one of 18 professional Muay Thai fighters,

"Get ready to hit the dirt... and run the race of your
life!"

The Men's Health All-Terrain Race (ATR) is Men's Health
magazine's flagship event for 2008. It is still the only race of its kind in the
country. Segregated into a trail and bike run, the MH ATR is for people who love
these disciplines and who are looking for a one-of-a-kind experience.

                               Venue: Timberland Heights, San Mateo
                               Date: June 15, 2008
                               Time: Event starts at 6am

                         The Trail Run
The trail run is one of the things that makes the
All-Terrain Race very unique. Instead of running on level roads, runners will be
running on gravel, sand, and sloping hills. It's not your typical running race.
Race distance is approximately 12 kilometers.

                         The Mountain Bike Race
A normal mountain bike race in a not so normal course.
It pits bikers against each other in a course designed to test your more than
your skills. Race distance is approximately 20 kilometers.

                         Father's Day Festival
The ATR isn't just a competition. It is also celebration
of what the Men's Health lifestyle is all about. It's all about good food, good
music and more importantly, good company. Make dad's day more meaningful by
cheering him on as he crosses the finish line.

Speech by ROBERTO B. VALDEZ President of the Muaythai Association of
the Philippines (MAP).During the SONGKRAN FESTIVAL (Thai New year):
Muaythai Demonstration and Competition which was organized by the
Royal Thailand Embassy to the Philippines in cooperation with PTT-
Philippines Corporation and the Muaythai Association of the
Philippines at the B2 The Fort, Global City, Taguig City,Philippines
on april 13,2008 (Sunday) 5:00-7:00 P.M.

`' Significant achievement of the Muaythai Association of the
Philippines''
=====================================================================

I strongly believe that: "To have a good friend and to
become a good friend "first thing first" is to understand, respect,
and accept the culture of your neighbor."

This principle is the very foundation for the creation of
the Muaythai Association of the Philippines (MAP), now a member of
the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and duly recognized by the
Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), being the single national
governing body of Muaythai in our country, MAP's primary goal and
mandate is to bring the values and culture of the noble art of
Muaythai closer to the hearts of the Filipino people.

Due to the dedication and commitment of the officers and
members of the Muaythai Association of the Philippines, the sports
of Muaythai is regularly played and now accepted as the most
exciting and sport-friendly by the Philippine Olympic Festival,POF
is being conducted in all parts of our country, in cooperation and
endorsement of the Department of Interior and Local Government
(DILG), the Department. of Education (DEPED), the Philippine Sports
Commission (PSC),and , of course, LGU `s spearheaded by our good
friend Mayor Abraham Tolenetino of Tagaytay City and other entities
and sectors of our society being adherers of the values of Olympism.

The Muaythai Association of the Philippines is also very
active in implementing its grass root summer program for the Kids
in partnership with the Nestle- Philippines through the MILO Muay
Summer Clinic is being conducted in selected affiliated chapters all
over the country.

In our almost one decade of existence, our most
significant achievement was the successful campaign for the
inclusion of Muaythai as a regular medal sports during the last 2005
SEA GAMES in Manila. This significant event was the first stepping
stone that paved the way for the inclusion of Muaythai Sports in the
mainstream of the Olympic movement.

Presently, Muaythai is also accepted in the sports
calendar of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). And by 2010 Muaythai
will become one of the medal sports of the World Martial Arts Games,
Organized by the General Association of the International Sports
Federation (GAISF), under the auspices of the International Olympic
Committee (IOC).

At this juncture, In behalf of the Muaythai
practitioners and supporters, we wish to express our sincerest
appreciation and gratitude to the Thai ancestors who created,
developed and preserved the noble art of Muaythai. We also extend
our appreciation to His Excellency Ambassador Kulkumut Siughara Na
Ayudhaya and all officials, staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in the
Philippines and other people behind the organization of this
occasion for your initiative in organizing this Songkran Festival.
His Excellency, it is our pleasure and honor to be invited and to
be part in this very momentous event which deepens the
understanding, friendship and camaraderie between the Thai and
Filipino people.

I also take this golden opportunity to express my
heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to our good Thai friend, Khun
Siripong Phongpaka, the President of PTT-Phils. Corporation and the
PTT-Phils. Corporation Officials and staff as well. For your
unwavering generous support.

Above all, I'm very proud to say that Muaythai have
brought the people of Thailand and the Philippines together in one
spirit of friendship, understanding and camaraderie. I'm also very
optimistic, and as we can obviously see it now, that Muaythai will
also bring people and nations of the world together and to speak one
cultural language:

                    "ONE WORLD, ONE MUAYTHAI."

Ladies and Gentlemen, please join me in wishing, More
power to His Excellency Ambassador Kulkumut Siughara Na Ayudhaya; to
Khun Siripong Phongpaka, the President of the PTT-Philippines Corp.;
The Ambassadors of different countries, The Officials and members of

Turn your trash into cash! (contact #s 5633027 / 0917-9723931)

Did you know that not only are old air conditioners less cooling & noisy but
that they also consume 50% more electricity than new ones? Yes. Those sad &
tired A/Cs are electricity-gobbling monsters!

TIP! Old inefficient air conditioners consume 50% more electricity and
malfunction often. You end up wasting more money via your electricity bills and
occasional repair fees.

So now you want to sell away & get rid of those old, inefficient, sometimes
even irreparable A/Cs right?

But due to the influx of very cheap surplus new air conditioners available in
the market today…What fool would buy your old A/Cs if they could buy very cheap
but efficient new ones? Right?!?

But because we utilize A/C parts, we’ll buy them from you. Yes! We’re the
fools who’ll buy your old/scrap air conditioners and even pick them up from you!

You can't pass this up now. Who else buys & picks up scrap A/Cs? Sell it now
or keep your garbage forever!

So convert your old/scrap air conditioners into cash. Free yourself from
clutters. Save the environment by letting us recycle your garbage and we all
win!

We also buy demolition/renovation debris, heavy equipments, office and house

Hello everyone!
This is the first time I came across this blog...
Anyway, I'll give everyone info in regards to Vince Soberano...

-He saw his 1st Muay-Thai fight in Lumpini stadium when his dad was
stationed in Thailand.
-He started training in Thailand when he was 8yrs old.
-Vince finished his High School education in La Salle Bacolod.
-After graduating he proceded to the Philippine Military Academy
(PMA)
-He was a Phil. Scout Ranger for several years and while in service
he
was sent to Fort Benning and Fort Bragg in the U.S. for further
training.(the Phil. contigent won the CQB competition against the US
Navy SEALS...)
-He migrated to the US and took up Film making...
-He started his fighting career in a No Holds Barred, Everything Goes
fight in Mexico City. It was actually a gambling den fought in
a "Cock
Pit". (He said he makes more money there in a day than what he earns
in a month...)
-On one of his fights in Mexico, the brother of Benny "the Jet"
Orquidez discovered the potential of Vince and took him under his
wing.
-During his amateur and professional career Vince established a lot
of
first...
*He was the first to promote Muay Thai in Southern California
*He was one of the pioneers of MMA in the US
*He is the 1st Filipino "to my knowledge" that fought in K1.
*He also fought in King of the Cage.
*He won 3 World Championships for Kick Boxing
*and another 3 World Titles for Muay Thai.
     "Vince retired undefeated"
-Vince opened the Black Tiger academy in torrance California in which
he also trained 2 future World Champions.
-He was also for a short time one of the instructors in the RUAS
Academy. (Actually he just wanted to train with Marco Ruas, he ended
up teaching his students=-)
-His 1st MMA (shoot fighting) fight was in Japan. He got "CREAMED!"
(Sorry Vince!)this prompted him to take up BJJ.
-He also.... Hmmmm...You know guys, Vince has bin fighting for 3
decades. There is so much to write about his accomplishments that it
can't fit here...

What I know is that he's made our country proud 7 times over. (He
recently fought and KO'd his opponent for the welterweight title in
Thailand at 43 yrs. young) the sad part is that he is an unknown.
The country hasn't recognized his accomplishments. He carried the
countries flag with him in 7 world titles and made the country proud
but the only thing he heard from our country were the sound of
crickets...
He just came out of retirement, and he's in the best shape of his
life.
Please lend your support to our Champion... check his fight videos at
youtube. Type in vpecs to see all his fights and instructional
videos.
or go to his website at www.vpecs.com. Get to know him.

My take on Vince... He's a great friend, very very humble,
disciplined
and to an out of shape friend like me... he's an inspiration! But
most
of all daw gago2x!!! Hahaha!
hahaha!kami tanan di Vince sa Bacolod na huya sa lawas namon!
Hahahaha! Train ta sa 27 mag balik ka. Kun kaya mo kaya man namon.
=-)

Yup! Cheers again for our RP muay team!

If I'm not mistaken, Romnick Pabalate and Anna Joy Fernandez were the
ones who won gold medals in this tournament. Of course, let's also not
forget Kru Asiong (he won a silver medal) and Kru Eugene.

Congratulations also to all our coaches, staffs, etc. (everyone in the
team)! Though they seemed to work in the background and seldom get
themselves included in the write ups and limelights of tournaments,
they also deserve all the applauds.

Congratulations everyone!!!! Cheers!!!
