Alex Flanagan is an American sportscaster who is a graduate of the University of Arizona and Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona. She works for the NFL Network as an anchor/reporter and for NBC Sports as a sideline reporter for the Notre Dame home football games and for Football Night in America.
As of February 2008, she is a reporter for the NFL Network. Flanagan came to NFL Network in early 2006 after spending five years at ESPN. At ESPN, she worked as sideline reporter for college football and was also reported on programs such as SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight. Alex (as Alex Wystrach) was also a TV anchor for one of Alabama's most reputable TV stations, WSFA Channel 12, in Montgomery before her career at ESPN. She got her start in Minneapolis as a reporter and weekend weather gal.
Alex is the sideline reporter for the Notre Dame home football games on NBC. She was a host for NBC Sports coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympics on CNBC and USA. On February 1, 2009, Flanagan served as a sideline reporter with Andrea Kremer on NBC's coverage of Super Bowl XLIII.

Alex is a native of Sonoita, Arizona. She is married to Kevin Flanagan, a former University of Arizona basketball player from 1991-1994. They have two daughters named Addison and Grace and a son named Declan.
