PENGUINS SIGN DAIGLE
The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Alexandre Daigle to a
contact, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick. In
accordance with club policy, terms of the contract were not released.
Daigle, 27, in camp on a tryout, played in four pre-season and ranked
second on the team in scoring with six points (3+3).
The 6'0" and 204 pound native of Montreal has played in 459 career
NHL games with Ottawa, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and the New York
Rangers, recording 241 points (100+141) and 152 penalty minutes.
Daigle was originally drafted by Ottawa in the first round (first
overall) of the 1993 Entry Draft. He retired following the 1999-2000
season.
