Tirunesh Dibaba has broken her own world record on the 5000m indoor in
Boston. She ran the distance in 14.27, five seconds faster than her
time of two years ago.
Meseret Defar has won the 3000m in Boston. Dibaba also won the 3000m in
New York. Burka Bati and Melkamu have won in cross-country.

It's proven once again that people with a lot of money are immune to doping sanctions. Lance Armstrong keeps his Tour victories in spite of 6 positive tests. Marion Jones keeps her olympic medals in spite of one positive test. There is massive evidence against both of them, btut they will never get any form of sanction. IAAF, UCI, USATF, USADA, WADA and IOC are collectively guilty of protecting these criminals.

Tirunesh Dibaba didn't have to run against Defar this time, because the latter missed her plain. She ran a final lap in 58.70. Edith Masai was second.
Sanya Richards was behind Tonique Williams at 80m from the finish, but still won, ahead of Bulgarian Stambolova. Dibaba and Richards both won 4 out of 4 GL meetings this summer.
Michelle Perry and Sherone Simpson confirmed to be the best of the moment.
