Véronique Mang wins in 11.44. The silver was also for France, with
Sylviane Félix. These two sprinters are often a part of the French
relay team.

5000m
Margaret Maury-Kerubo wins for France. She was born in Kenya. She
left Maroccan Asmae Leghaoui behind in the final lap.

100m hurdles
Glory Alozie wins in 12.90. Alozie was born in Nigeria, but is
Spanish now. She's close to the international top, so her victory
isn't a surprise.

long jump
Fiona May wins with 6m64. May was born in the UK, but she had
problems with the federation and she became Italian. She was world
champion in 1999 and 2001. Niurka Montalvo from Spain was second with
6m55.
