European Cup & preview American trials   Message List

European Cup:
200m: Christine Arron (Fr) 22.84
100h: Linda Fergo-Khodanin (Fr) 12.73
(Russia wins overall ranking)

Preview American trials:
It's a pity that the wrong athletes have been banned, but I can't do
anything against that and the season continues.
An American who wants to qualify for the world championships in
Helsinki, Finland (first half of august), has to make the top three
at the US trials. The short distance is very competitive, there will
always be big names who don't qualify.

For what it's worth: my prediction.
100m: Lauryn Williams, LaTasha Colander, Me'Lisa Barber (or...)
200m: Allyson Felix, Muna Lee, Lauryn Williams (or...)
400m: Monique Hennagan, Dee Dee Trotter, Sanya Richards
100h: Joanna Hayes, Michelle Perry, Danielle Carruthers (or Melissa
Morrison)
400h: Lashinda Demus, Sandra Glover, Sheena Johnson (or Brenda Taylor)

Calendar:
Friday: 400
Saturday: 100 & 400h
Sunday: 200 & 100h
