Simpson was an olympic finalist on the individual 100m and she wan
gold with Jamaica on the 4x100m. She will probably be a little bit in
the shadow of her compatriot Asafa Powell, who broke the men's
world record (9.77).

800m: Hasna Benhassi (Mar) 1'59
Benhassi is the best North African of the moment. She wan the sprint
easily.

3000s: Docus Inzikuru (Uganda) 9'15 WL
As far as I know, Uganda has never had a top athlete before. Her
victory was very impressive. She left her last opponent behind after
about 2km.

Triple jump: Baya Rahouli (Alg) 14m72
A bit surprising, because she beat several big names.
