800m: Janet Jepkosgei (Ken) 1:57
5000m: Isabella Ochichi (Ken) 14:57
100h: Brigitte Foster (Jam) 12.76
3000s: Docus Inzikuru (Uganda) 9:12
4x100: Jamaica
4x400: England
Jekosgei is a new interesting name on the 800m, it was a long time ago that kenya had sucha gopod middle distance runner. She won against Kenia Sinclair and Maria Mutola.
Ochichi was the olympic silver medallist on the 5000m, so her victory was expected. She took the lead early in the race, but the decision fell in the final lap.
Inzikuru is probably the first Ugandese with a commonwealth title, after winning the world title last year.
Thanks to the relays, three athletes have won two gold medals: Sherone Simpson, Sheri-Ann Brooks and Christine Ohuruogu.
