OMG that was soooo much fun! The cold air burned my lungs as I gasped
for more air and the short but steep climbs(a few brief out of the
saddle moments)left my quads screaming. The track was smooth so you
could roll right over the top and down the back side without braking. A
few tight turns and some wide banked turns gave opportunities to pass
or be passed. There was such a huge turnout last night they had to
delay the race start to get everyone registered (which gave us more
time to pre-ride the course). The beginner race is 20 minutes of full
throttle. This is a great workout for experienced riders as well as
beginners and it's a great opportunity for anyone to come out and ride
on a fast, smooth surfaced, well lit track. I'm hooked. I hope to see
more of you out next Tuesday.
Special thanks to LUNA CHIX for hosting and giving out goodies! LUNA
Chix gave out 20 water bottles to women and girls who raced. That's
great!!! Usually, there are about 5-6 girls racing. Georgia was a
wonderful Chix. She took photos with us and brought great energy to
the event. Deb
