I just updated the our club record book with the results from the Ice
Engineer's Open.
All 5 sliders (Brett, Bill, Don, Ted, and myself) set personal best
times for the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) track during the race on Saturday.
Bill, Don and Ted all "peaked" at the right time, laying down their
Personal Best on the second run of the race.
The results of the race, including top speed during either run, were:
1. Carl Roepke, 1:26.178 (69.1 mph)
2. David Nabity, 1:26.907 (63.0 mph)
3. Peter Ingle, 1:27.478 (63.4 mph)
4. Stewart Goldfarb, 1:29.154 (62.8 mph)
5. Brett West, 1:29.328 (61.0 mph)
6. Jim Murphy, 1:29.687 (62.7 mph)
7. Bill Dearborn, 1:30.725 (61.4 mph)
8. Ted Elmendorf, 1:31.068 (59.5 mph)
9. Don Simkin, 1:33.106 (61.6 mph)
Also, just so everyone knows, there is a database of "Personal Bests"
for everyone online. It's in the "Database" section of the Yahoo web
site. Anyone can edit or add records.
