Having problems with message search?
Hello,
I am new to yahoo groups (and luge!) so I am not sure if replying to this email will e-mail everyone or simply Jim. As mentioned in the parenthesis, I am new to luge and want to plan some trips to slide this winter, I was hoping to get some advice on when the best weekends / times to visit would be to get the most out of the weekend as I will be coming up from the Washington DC area.
I also wanted to confirm that ADK had received my membership information that I mailed a few weeks ago. I am sure I have other questions but those are the general / main ones related to my planning.

I had a conversation with Mary Ann and Bevery at USA Luge, and we do
expect to have 6 classes of competition at the Empire State Games open
to Club Sliders. These would be:
Open Men
Open Women

This is tentative, but that's the current intention. More details to
follow, including what dates/times will be available when we know.
Track time that week (with Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton all competing)
will be tight so the track is still working that out.
Also, I wanted to remind everyone that we will also have the annual
ADK Club Race this year. We haven't selected the date yet, but we
like to pick a weekend when we have high attendance. Keep in mind
that in addition to the Open Men/Women, and Juniors Men/Women
categories, we also are looking to have a Team Event for Parent/Child
teams. So, for all you old foggies, bring your kids out.
Kids, convince Mom or Dad to give sliding a try!
