ADIRONDACK LUGE CLUB


Hello Members and friends,

This is to announce the tentative plans for this year's Wheels and
Start Clinic. We are currently in the planning process, but want to
keep you informed so you can include the date(s) in your summer
vacation plans. In addition to the wheels and start facility portions
of the clinic, we are very pleased and excited that Duncan Kennedy has
agreed to bring us on a track walk and conduct a class on how to best
negotiate the track from start 4!

Tentatively the clinic will be held the weekend of August 19 and 20th.
The clinic is open to anyone interested in the sport, adults and
children (9 to 15 yrs.). We encourage you to bring youngsters between
the ages of 10 and 14 who would be eligible for the development team
if potential is observed by the coaches.

Cost of the clinic will depend upon how many club members and guests
plan to attend. The monies collected will cover the costs/honorarium
for the coaches, pizza and drinks for lunch. We hope to have a little
left over for our club treasury. Our current ESTIMATE is $40.00 per
person for Saturday, $50 for Sunday and $80.00 for both days. We are
planning to offer a family (2 or more) price as well. Nonmembers of
ADK may also participate but they will be charged an additional $10.
(We'd rather have them join as members). Once we get your input (next
page), we will determine the final cost and send out a registration
form. This plus your check for the full amount to be returned by July
9th will reserve your place. In the event of a cancellation, a
cancellation fee of one half of the amount will be assessed because we
must count on the funds to pay the bills.

As you can see, Saturday is geared for the newer slider, but would be
a good refresher and fun for all ages!
