Hello Fellow Sliders!

Just a quick note to update you all on some things going on over the
summer for us.

First, Ted just completed our annual club audit with USA Luge. In
general, it's good news. Let's keep up the good work we're doing.
One area that we'll be looking at more closely is to increae the
number of members who are certified as luge coaches. More on that
soon; anyone interested should speak up.

Brett West is working with USA Luge to help host a Verizon Slider
Search. As soon as we have the dates and location finalized, we'll
let everyone know. To make this work, we'll be calling on our members
to help out various ways, both before and during the slider search
weekend.

Also, plans are underway for our annual Wheels Training and Start
Clinic. Some activities that we're working on, or some ideas, include:

- Wheel clinic on the hill near the ski jumps
- Start training in the Start House
- Track walk with Duncan along the track
- Sled maintenance session

If anyone else has ideas, including social gatherings that can help
make that an eventful weekend, speak up.

I know that I'm going through Sliding Withdrawal. I hope you are too!
