How do ActionBent bikes CLIMB?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #6480 of 21058 |
Hi,

Please don't flame me, I've searched your messages for over an hour.
If a get a recumbent it will be an actionbent do to finances $$$.

Currently, on pavement, I ride a road bike and it climbs hills really
well. I climb a LOT of vertical. But on descents I really get the
stiff neck trying to see where I'm going.

So I get the idea that recumbents are great on flats & descents, but
lousy on climbs...

Is this accurate?

Thanks, just turned 40 and starting to feel the aches,

Tom

Like others have said, recumbents can climb. However, when you first start, you will not climb very well due to using a different set of muscles. Also, there...
