Hello,

It's a new year, and there are some new things going on at Academie
Duello, such as...some really cool workshops in the next month. The
first is the Umbrella Defense Workshop, which takes place on Sunday,
January 27th. (Details below)

Umbrella Defense Workshop

Sunday, January 27 - 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Learn to fend off ruffian and rapscallion with Vancouver's most common
winter accoutrement.

In this 4 hour workshop, participants will learn the art of
self-defense with the umbrella or cane. Based on the Bartitsu system
of stick fighting developed at the turn of the century, Victorian
English stick fighting is a practical, easily applied system of
self-defense for any gentleman or lady.

This workshop is suitable for participants at any fitness level.

Cost: $45

Location: Academie Duello - Suite 200 - 422 Richards St.

Secondly, there will be a body mechanics/high performance workshop on
Sunday, February 10th. If you're looking to improve the minutiae of
your form, or bring your game to the next level, this is the workshop
for you.

Finally, and on a completely different note, there are a few items in
the lost and found which have been there quite awhile. If you're
missing anything, like shoes, a jacket, t-shirts, just to name a few
things, please come by and pick it up. If the items are not claimed by
this weekend, they will become donations.
