Greetings all,
Academie Duello has been invited to perform at the Celtic Fest
this year and be in the St. Patrick's Day parade! They both take
place on March 15th and 16th in downtown Vancouver. This is the
largest parade of the year in Vancouver (over 300,000 spectators),
it's a lot of fun, and short (10 block parade route downtown that ends
where it started).

As part of these festivities we are looking for volunteers to show off
their sword fighting skills on Saturday and Sunday (schedule follows).
Any level of experience is acceptable. Costumes are not required
though we will want at least a small contingent dressed up.

In the show there will be opportunity to show of your skills with
rapier, sidesword, and longsword. We will also feature quarterstaff
and wrestling. If you are available and want to come out and support
the school and have a lot of fun at the fest, please let me know as
soon as possible.

If you've never participate in a demo the parade is a great
opportunity to try it out.

Where
The Celtic Fest takes place on a closed of section of Granville Street
between Smithe and Helmcken. There are stages and vendors, etc. This
outdoor market happens all day on Saturday and after the parade on
Sunday.

Saturday (March 15th)
- 2:15 - 3:00 - Stage Show

Sunday (March 16th)
- 10am - Muster for St. Pat's Parade
- 4pm - 4:30pm - Stage Show
