Randy posed a question: What is WMA (Western Martial Arts)?
Obviously this lead to discussion comparing western and eastern martial arts.
This reminded me of a question that I have thought about several times: Where do the better swords(wo)men come from?
I studied kendo for a time when I was taking a break from fencing. I found it... fun. There are many similar techniques - i.e. footwork and feints. but I often wondered what style was better: Capo Ferro (for that matter Digrassi, Morozo, Silver, Sweatnam, Hale .....) or what is now Kendo?
Any thoughts?
