Re: UFC 61 Bitter Rivals tonight on PPV

UFC 61 "Bitter Rivals" was on last night live on PPV. Here are the
fight results:

Tim Sylvia won after fighting five 5 minute rounds. After the 25
minute fight it went to the judges who gave it to the "Maine-iac"
Sylvia. Arlovski never took the fight to the ground.

Tito Ortiz won against Ken Shamrock. The match was stopped by the
referee only 1 min 18 sec in the first round. Tito delivered 5
elbow strikes to Ken when the referee stepped in and stopped the
fight. Ken was more than just a little upset and couldn't believe
that the fight was stopped. Both fighters refused to touch gloves
during the introductions before the fight. Even during the weigh
ins the day before things got heated. Ken did a good job and came
out of his corner swing and hitting Tito with a buch of punches.
And of course the "Huntington Beach Bad Boy" put on one of his
infamous T-shirts after the fight taunting Ken who wanted to fight
again and security and law enforcement had to step into the ring.

Frank Mir made his comeback after a motorcycle accident against Dan
Christison and won.

Josh Burkman beat Josh Neer via judges decision. Berkman has been
training with Tito Ortiz and it paid off. Josh Neer took a lot of
hard hits but he didn't seem bothered by it at all.

Yves Edwards Vs. Joe Stevenson was one of the better fights. It
was bay far the bloodist fights of the night when Edwards head was
split open by Joe "Daddy". The blood gushed making it had for both
fighters to get a grip on one another.

The other fights were not broadcast. Chuck the "Iceman" Liddel to
a challenge fight set now for November for the light heavyweight
title belt.

Over all the fight wasn't too bad. It was a big disappointment that
Tito and Ken didn't fight longer. UFC 62 is set for August 26. And
The Ultimate Fighter season 4 "The Comeback" starts August 17 on
Spike TV.

If youy saw the fight what was your reaction and thoughts on the
outcomes?
