Belt Promotions: Testing was held in October 24th. Congratulations
to the following on their promotions: Wayne Krysowaty, brown belt.
Kodi Hanson received his orange stripe for passing the orange belt
equivalency test.. The next tentative testing will be held Tuesday,
November 28th at 6:30 PM.. As always parents and friends are
welcome at testings. Testing usually last longer than an hour
depending on how many people are testing.
We are once again able to videotape testings. It wasn't the
camera after all, we just had 2 bad tapes in a row. What are the
odds?

Student of the Quarter: Zack Bumpous has been chosen as the student
of the quarter for July through September 2006. Zack was presented
with a trophy for outstanding dedication and martial spirit.
Students must be positive in the dojo and work to make it a better
place. You need to be focused on karate during class and take your
training seriously. Not once have I had to say anything to Zack to
stay busy training or stop goofing around. He's is focused when he
is at the dojo and trains hard. Congratulations to Zack!! You
earned it.

Schedule: There will be NO class November 23rd because of
Thanksgiving Day.

New Students: None in October. Just a reminder that if someone you
refer to the dojo joins you get 10% off your membership dues as long
as that person stays a member. Bring in 5 people and get a 50%
discount. Bring in 10 people and train for free. It's crunch
time. We need 5 additional students or December will be the last
month the dojo will be open. That's only 2 months away.

Business: Just a reminder that monthly membership fees are due this
month. Please have dues paid by November 7th. If you've ordered
gear or equipment please pay for it right away.

Upcoming Events: The 1st Redfield Taekwondo Tournament will be held
Saturday December 9th, 2006 at 11 AM. Preregistration by December
2nd is only $25. It's $30 after that and at the door. Master
Sanchez of Clark also has a school in Redfield. It will be a
sparring only tournament. This would be an excellent tournament to
participate in if you've never competed before. See bulletin board
flyer for more details.
We are looking at having our Christmas party December 26th at 6:30
PM until 8:30 PM. We will be watching a movie again and will
probably order pizza. If this date doesn't work let me know ASAP.
I was planning on watching the boxing classic Rocky but since it
doesn't sound like any adults will be attending the Christmas party
we will be watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the
Ooze. It's rated PG and is 88 minutes long. If any parent has a
problem with this movie please let me know ASAP.

Dojo: Being a responsible martial artist means being a responsible
citizen too. Be sure to vote Tuesday November 7th. Countless
soldiers have fought and died over the past 230 years to defend your
rights which includes your right to vote.
Mr. Shultis and Mr. Lammon went to Fargo, ND for the tournament
October 28th and had a good time.

MMA: Due to a lack of participants I have decided to suspend MMA
classes until further notice.

Other: UFC 65: Bad Intentions will be held November 18th, live on
PPV. Matt Hughes will be fighting Georges St Pierre for the
welterweight title. This may be another shocker of a fight as Rich
Franklin lost his belt in the middleweight title fight to Anderson
Silva at UFC 64: Unstoppable.
