TONIGHT in Berwyn! 5th Anniversary Event!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #39 of 42 |
It all happens tonight! 7:30pm Bell time at the Berwyn Eagles Club (6309 26th
Street) in Berwyn, IL!

Tonight, Saturday, March 28th, AAW will celebrate a milestone as we present the
5th Anniversary show and AAW owner Jim Lynam has gone out of his way to put
together a wild and unpredictable night of action. So much will be on the line
as the stars of AAW compete for a shot at the Main Event and the "Final Four"
match for the AAW Heavyweight title. Faces from the past will return and try to
reclaim past glory and the young stars of today's roster battle for a chance at
the biggest prize in the company. Let's take a closer look at the card.

MAIN EVENT- AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE- THE FINAL FOUR

TYLER BLACK
vs
Winner of Qualifier #1
vs
Winner of Qualifier #2
vs
Winner of Battle Royal

In March of 2006 Tyler Black pinned Eric Priest to win his first AAW title in
the inaugural "Final Four" match. In the years since Black's career has sky
rocketed and he is now one of the brightest young stars in the industry. On
March 28th he comes full circle as this time he will defend the coveted
championship against three challengers in an elimination match. Admittedly the
champion is at a disadvantage as he will not have a chance to prepare for his
opponents as they will be determined earlier in the evening through a series of
qualifiers and this years field is a who's who of past and present AAW stars.
Can Tyler Black once again overcome insurmountable odds and retain his title or
will AAW begin it's sixth year with a new champion?

I QUIT MATCH

JIMMY JACOBS
vs
RYAN BOZ

The war that has raged for months comes to an end March 28th as Jimmy Jacobs and
Ryan Boz meet for the final time. After brutal encounters including a wild fans
bring the weapons match in January there has still not been a resolution to this
feud. In just a few short days we will find out who the better man truly is as
these two combatants meet in an "I quit" match. The only way to win is to make
your opponent verbally quit the match. Jimmy Jacobs has had some classic "I
quit" matches in his career but he has never faced a monster like Ryan Boz.
Something has got to give and it will on March 28th at the Eagles Club. This one
will not be for the weak at heart.

FINAL FOUR QUALIFIER #1

"The Human Massacre"
KEITH WALKER
vs
TBD

In December of 2008 AAW announced they had parted ways with former champion
Keith Walker due to his further commitments in Japan with Pro Wrestling NOAH.
When it was time to put together the 5th Anniversary show Jim Lynam reached out
to Walker and offered him a chance at the Final Four. Walker was quick to accept
and on March 28th the "Human Massacre" returns home to AAW with only one thing
on his mind…. Tyler Black's AAW Heavyweight title. Walker is an important figure
in AAW's past as he carried the company through some hard times and he no doubt
has something to prove as the landscape of AAW has changed significantly. Still
a mystery however is Walker's opponent who Jim Lynam has yet to announce.

AAW TAG TEAM TITLES

THE PHOENIX TWINS (Champions)
vs
SHANE HOLLISTER & "M-DOGG 20" MATT CROSS

Through the years AAW has always been known to have top notch tag team title
matches and this one will be no different. A battle of two exciting tag teams as
the Twins put the gold on the line against fan favorites Hollister and Mdogg.
Holister and Matt Cross have had their problems in the past but are now
committed to working as a team and capturing the tag team gold. It will be no
easy task as the Twins are at the top of their game and are widely considered to
be the top team in the Midwest. With the death defying style of all four men,
this one may end up being the show stealer.

FINAL FOUR QUALIFIER #2
SIX MAN MAYHEM

EGOTISTICO FANTASTICO
vs
CJ ESPARZA
vs
BRETT GAKIYA
vs
HUNTER MATTHEWS
vs
KNIGHT WAGNER
vs
TRIK DAVIS

A battle of former AAW stars and new blood with a shot at the Final Four on the
line. Ego is a former two time AAW Heavyweight champion and Trik Davis a former
tag team champion. They return at the 5th Anniversary show in an every man for
yourself mayhem match against Gakiya, Esparza, Matthews and Wagner who have all
been making waves in AAW in recent months. This is a match designed by Jim Lynam
to quote "tear the house down" and these six men are more than capable of doing
just that.

TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH

HOUSE OF TRUTH
ZACH GOWEN & TBA w/ Truth Martini
vs
SILAS YOUNG & DAN LAWRENCE

This match was originally scheduled to feature House of Truth members Josh
Raymond and Christian Able but Truth Martini has pulled them off the show
claiming he did not sign off on the contract. Rumor has it Raymond did not want
to get back into the ring with Silas Young. Regardless, Martini is bringing back
original H.O.T member Zach Gowen and the last time we saw him he was cutting the
trademark long hair of the longest standing member of the AAW roster; "Party
Danimal" Dan Lawrence. Lawrence returns to action after a long lay off due to a
concussion and he wants revenge. Martini is keeping Gowen's partner a closely
guarded secret but Silas Young and Dan Lawrence are ready to fight anyone put in
front of them.

FINAL FOUR QUALIFIER- BATTLE ROYAL

The wild card entrant of the Final Four will be determined in a 20 man over the
top rope battle royal. Every man for himself and who knows who we will see
entered in this one.
