The U.S. is unique among countries in that it's Constitution guarantees its citizens the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Unfortunately, few of our fellow Asian-Americans appreciate this. The political and personal benefits of gun ownership have simply not been pointed out to many of us:

- It is because the average American citizen has access to guns that we never have had a situation of warlords splitting apart the country, as happened in China.
- In America, we do not have armed gangsters nor Communists lording over us and owning everything we produce, including our own lives.
- In America, you do possess a basic human right to fight back against common street-crime, and also against racially-motivated "hate" crime. Just because you are Asian-American, you do not have to accept being treated as less than human.

But this uniquely American concept of freedom is always at risk. Governments are a living contradiction. They were created to serve us, but the danger is that they can assume lives of their own, and start to erode our very basic rights, including the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. That's why we need to be vigilant, and struggle to remain armed. For without the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, all of our Civil Rights as worth less than the paper they are printed on.

The purpose, therefore, of Asian American Gun Owners is to alert our communities to the necessity of defending the most basic and powerful American Civil Right of all, the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. The group is open to all, regardless of race. You just have to be pro-eRKBA.
