The purpose of this group is to provide support and in-depth discussion to those studying horsemanship using Mark Rashid's philosphies, but is not sanctioned by him. We are here to support each other in our journey through horsemanship. Free and open discussions are encouraged in all things dealing with our horses' well being as well as Mark's philosiphy.
In order for this group to be effective, there are several rules and ideas that MUST be followed by all members. Rules will be enforced.
First: A. This list is designed to support students of horseman Mark Rashid. Some knowledge of Mark's skills and philosophy are necessary to contribute to and benefit from the group. We reccomend that you read all 4 of Mark's books and review his website.
B. Most of Mark's students are adults, so the group is designed for the adult student.
C. Mark's philosophy of horsemanship is based on focusing on the positive. This idea should lead the group as well
Posting:
1. Absolutely no flaming, cursing, or abuse will be tolerated. This behavior will result in a single warning. A second infraction will result in expulsion from the group.
2. Comparison and contrast of other trainers' techniques/philosophy to Mark's are welcome. BUT, keep these posts very structured and focused to concrete comparison. See rule #1.
3. Please note when you're quoting Mark directly, when you're paraphrasing him, and when you're expressing your own opinion. This will help reduce confusion.
4. Please take the time to clip posts that you're referencing in your reply.
5. Please note in your post if you are looking for feedback or directing your question to an individual or the group.
