Last Saturday we had our first Street Team meeting. We met down at
Launch, ate some Brown Jug pizza, and headed out for about an hour of
flyering and spreading the word.

New Street Team members Sam, Deandre, Howie, Jeff, Lauren and Jonah
all worked hard to get the word out. For their efforts to support the
Ann Arbor Skatepark initiative, they recieved a special edition Ann
Arbor Skatepark Street Team tee-shirt, some stickers, lunch, and
they'll be on the guest list for our upcoming all-ages show at the
Elbow Room on February 23! Also, they got tickets for the door prize,
a Launch shop deck. Lauren was the winner, and passed it on to her
son, Sam. He's a lucky dude, for sure!

What do you get for being a Street Team member?

* Street Teamers get a free, special edition A2skatepark t-shirt.
* Street Teamers get skatepark stickers… whenever they want!
* Street Teamers get a chance at winning a Launch shop deck at each
Street Team event.
* Street Teamers get on the guest list for skatepark benefit concerts.
* Street Teamers get in on the skatepark initiative on the ground floor.
* Street Teamers get to be directly involved with a positive community
project.

What do street team members do?

* Meet the first Saturday of each month at Street Team events
* Put up posters for upcoming Ann Arbor Skatepark events
* Hand out stickers to help spread the word
* Talk about the skatepark to people face-to-face, and on skate
related websites, forums and bulletin boards
* Explain to (non-skating) adults the need for a free, legal, public
place to skateboard and inline skate.
