The new stickers are in. Mega-huge thanks to Redbelly, VGKids and Mike
Bush for their generous contributions to the sticker fund. Also,
thanks to those who gave up change and threw it in the bottle at
Launch. All these donations made it possible for us to make the new
stickers. The stickers are available at Redbelly as of this posting,
and will be delivered to Launch this evening. You can also pick them
up at the Farmer’s Market (look for the Tree Town Batiks booth…
Thanks, Jerusha!) on most Saturdays and Sundays. Can’t make it to any
of those locations? Send us an email and we’ll get one to you!
Due to scheduling conflicts, we will not be presenting at the Ann
Arbor Parks Advisory Commission (PAC) meeting this month. We are,
however, meeting with PAC staff. We thank the PAC and its staff for
continuing to work with us.
It’s been less than three weeks, and we already have more than 400
entries to the online petition. This is awesome! Keep up the great
work directing people to a2skatepark.org and the online petition.
If you know of people who would rather sign a printed version of the
petition, you can download it at
http://wdean.fatcow.com/a2skatepark/skatepark_petition.pdf . Big
thanks to Chaos Wes for creating the printed version and uploading it
for all to use.
The next meeting of the Ann Arbor Skatepark Action Committee will be
on October 28, 6:00 PM at Redbelly. All members of the public are
welcome to join us in discussing this community project. Please plan
to attend if you can. There will be no November meeting, but there
will be one on December 2nd. Location TBA.
