Hi folks,

Dug and I will be presenting at this week's Parks Advisory Commission.
We met previously with staff from the commission. This week's meeting
will be our "official" introduction to the city.

And speaking of the city... If you can, check out Ward Talk on Ann
Arbor CTN channel 19. Ann Arbor City Council member Steve Kunselman
(ward 3) was interviewed, and discussed his support for building a
skatepark in Ann Arbor. As soon as I can, I'll digitize a copy of the
video so it can be posted on a2skatepark.org. You can catch the
replays of that show on Comcast Ch. 19 on the following days:

Steve Kunselman has been a GREAT help in spreading the word about the
skatepark project. Much of the support we have from the city is due to
Steve's talking up the project whenever he can. Thanks Steve!

Also, a big thanks should go to Corey S. and D. Jenkins. They offered
up some cool art for us to use on the new A2skatepark shirts. Wes and
I have printed up some of Corey's, as well as some yerboy designs, in
our underground studio. The next shirt will be Mr. Jenkins' design.
They'll be available at Launch soon. Any money raised from these
shirts will go directly to raising awareness of and support for the
skatepark project.

Please accept our apologies for the spam that has been coming to this
group. We're working on keeping it out. If it keeps up or gets worse,
we'll be looking at another way to do our mailing list.

Our next skatepark meeting will be on Sunday, September 23, 5:00 pm at
Launch Board Shop. The shop is located at 1202 S. University in Ann
Arbor. We'll be updating the group on the latest actions we've taken,
and what our next steps are. As always, bring your comments, questions
and support!
