Re: [YCPIOTB] Game 4 Replay Last Night

I totally agree with your post.  Aaron made other mistakes in the playoffs as well (mostly baserunning) and I do think that is why he is no longer on the team.  He is a great centerfielder but if his teammates didn't pick him up for making some of those blunders especially in Game 2 of the ALCS (when he was called out at home for the first out of the inning) and Game 4 of the World Series, then who knows if we would be celebrating a World Championship right now.  It's just ironic that he can be such a great centerfielder which is not easy but can't master the much simpler parts of the game like bunting and baserunning.  Hopefully he can work on that while with the Phillies!

I am certainly very appreciative of what Aaron Rowand has given to Sox Fans not only last year but throughout his career.  He was a good one.  But last night's Game 4 Replay vs. Houston reminded me of his shortcomings...1) his baserunning is deplorable, and 2) his bunting skills are even worse than his base running.

Why, why, why wasn't he running with 2 outs on Crede's double?  And his bunt attempts look like something out of Little League practice.  Man was Ozzie POed at him on the bunting.

Anyway, for those on this board that were saddened about losing Aaron, I say, relax.  KW knows exactly what he is doing.  After all, we're not talking about Jim Hendry now!  KW is THE MAN!  And the Sox will move on to be an even better team (believe it or not) over the next 2 or 3 years!

Go Sox!
