Yankee Volleyball Scrambles are a great way to participate in a Yankee Volleyball tournament.

Yankee Volleyball Association is hosting two Yankee Scrambles of this Fall season:
Saturday 11/1/2008 at Bryant MC and WC only (RCO-C cancelled)
Sunday 12/7/2008 at LSHS MC, WC, and possible RCO-C.

These are three court facility so we will try to have:
5 team Mens C level

5 team Womens C level

5 team RCO C level (Reverse Co-Ed on women’s net height)

This is subject to change based on the number of registrations.

BE ONTIME as we are checking-in 60 individual players rather than just 10 team captains. EVERYONE MUST SHOW UP BY 8:20am to register, pick up jerseys, and signup for NERVA membership if you are new. At 8:50am, we will release your reservation for any wait-listed/standby players unless you notify us ahead of time. Final team rosters will be made available at that time.

Tournament Format:
The format for scramble tournaments is similar to traditional tournaments with an approximate 9:10 a.m. start time, pool play and playoffs. Two teams play while a third team works. The work team is required to supply two line judges, a R2 down referee, a scorekeeper, and an assistant scorekeeper.

5-team format:
Pool Play is a round robin consisting of two 21 point games. (8 games total)
Top Three teams break pool to play in the playoffs (Semis / Finals) (best 2 out of 3)

$25/person
Sign up as an individual

Non-member special: The $25 will cover both the tournament cost and your 1 day membership fee (usually $15) or you can signup for a full year membership for $35/40 year (sept08 - aug09). The membership covers insurance and is required for all players that compete in Yankee tournaments during the year. Register your Yankee membership online
costs $35 at http://mysite.verizon.net/judyvb/application.html Otherwise, onsite registration is $40.

Referral credit: if you bring a new member to a scramble, you will receive $10 off per new person (not on 5-year membership list). You can bring up to 2 new players and get a $20 credit and play for free that day.

Make sure that you list the new players who you are bringing to a scramble when you register.

Cancellation Policy:

You have until Wednesday of the week before the Scramble to cancel and get full refund unless you can find a replacement player to take your place. Otherwise $25 is still due to Yankee Scrambles tournament.
