I still have room in my yard for more campers,I live about 1 hr. from the fairgrounds in New Castle. If you are interested e-mail me and I will give directions.
I had a preview of Walt's ice cream creations last night...yummy! The one he
called "special recipe" was over the top. We really need some strong
challengers. Let's get creative. No way should Walt win this contest.

Ah, now I understand why there are five different flavors of ice cream sitting
in the freezer freshly made today! And why the cupboards have been gone through
and are now void of the goodies they use to hold! Beware! Have to go . . .
hear Walt opening that freezer door AGAIN! Someone should ask him if he's
riding enough miles for the ice cream he's eating!

I will be leaving Columbus, actually Westerville, 6:00-6:30 Saturday morning for
New Castle and have room for up to two additional riders including bikes and
bags. Just let me know if anyone needs a ride.

I see on the website schedule that the bus leaves New Castle at 11:00. That
seems a little late to me and I thought I read somewhere about an earlier
departure time. Can someone tell me for sure what it is? Thanks.

I'm looking for a ride to New Castle from the Akron area. I will only be riding 5 days of the tour, due to another commitment. I have a Goldrush recumbent, so someone with a truck is prefered, since it is pretty long. Please let me know if you can accomidate me.
Thanks,

Lots of fun facts in the XOBA Digest? Do you know the answers----- What is the Oakley Ice Cream and candy parlor known for? What was Blake Williams Eagle project and where is it? What town is one of "America's Coolest Small Towns? What town is the "Town at the end of the Pike" and why? Which ice cream company uses a destinctive conical dipper? Where is the "glacier lake"? What is the derivation of "toot or tutti"? How did Deep Cut Road get it's name and where is it located? Where is the sweet corn festival held in Aug? Which restaurant is known as the House of Pies?

Club ride - 61.5 miles from Oberlin to Vermilion to Milan and back. We saw
plenty of last year's arrows and lots of other bikes out. What a perfect day
for riding!

Last night, I spotted what appeared to be freshly painted XOBA markers
going up Theiss Road in the Cuyahoga Valley! I then continued to see a
few along Northampton Road... My home territory! Cool! And Theiss is a
fun climb! Not too hard (compared to worse hills in the valley).
Now I'm getting really excited!

I saw some heading west out of Mount Sterling on SR 56. They were white, which I
believe is the optional 100-mile route. A couple miles out of town they turned
north on Anderson-Antioch, then west on Kiousville-Palestine Rd. I turned off,
but they probably hook back up with the regular route through Lilly Chapel.
Except for that short section of 56, that's a nice scenic area to ride in.

We have them here in London.
I think the Friends of MadisonCountyParks
and Trails will set up a water stop at the east end of the Roberts Pass Trail.

I moved to the Akron/Canton area a couple of years
ago from Newark
and townships are a big thing here. I think there are more townships than
towns :o)

We saw more markers on
Friday on the Kokosing Trail. That got us checking on the map and wondered
where Copley was. We could not find a town called Copley on the Ohio map. We did a
search and found it is actually a township, and a suburb of Akron. We are getting hyped up for the
ride, since we missed GOBA this year.

Hi Everyone,
I need to apologize for any of the e-mail from Grouple that says "Darlene wants to add you as a friend". I was declining a invitation and not really paying attention. I checked the wrong box or whatever and "Grouply' went to my Yahoo Groups.

If I have the right Bellevue, it looks like you are up by Cleveland. I am afraid that may be way out of the way. Thanks anyway.
